Theater Arts Guild is proud to announce their new theater educations classes with TAGeD (Theater Arts Guild Education). Our first classes will start in October 2019 with six-week workshops for youth age 8-14 covering topics of Dance and Movement, Singing and Acting.
The skills learned in theater craft extend well-beyond the stage. Over our 25+ years of supporting youth in theater, we have seen many former child actors take the skills they learned and apply them to debate, focus on studies, public presentation and so many other areas of life. For parents, you’ll be happy to know that education in theater helps teach your child self-confidence and teamwork.
TAG board member Sophia Price is kick-starting this education program with a thoughtful approach to teaching children in an environment that is supportive and positive. Sophia has been a long-time stage performer herself having performed in lead roles at both the Historic Lincoln Theatre and McIntyre Hall in Mount Vernon, WA. She is also an accomplished pianist, piano teacher and voice teacher. Thank you Sophia for your passion for local theater, and for your passion to bring the education of theater to the students of our local community!
